Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

...first time I'm trying a hydropack, but it seems to fit well. I'm liking the idea of 100 miles without a water stop, as this holds about as much as I went through on the last decent ride (+24 oz in a regular bottle).

Whoa. Those are hot sex.

They cost almost as much as my race bike though ($900 on the site I saw!).

Last Saturday, I went on a 66 mile ride. LINK The morning started cool so I had leg and arm warmers. It warmed up a couple of hours later so I shed the warmers. Sometime after the 40 mile mark, I lost one arm warmer and one leg warmer! Damn. Double Damn! Campy arm warmers and Hincapie leg warmers. Triple Damn.

Then at lunch today, I was doing a little shopping at the LBS and they had arm and leg warmers on sale. Half off!

Made my day.

Sugoi RS bibs. the fabric is quite nice, cool, and moister transfer is fast. they come in shorts and knickers as well. well worth it and reasonably priced at $150 msrp.
Sugoi RS bibs are, IMO, the best bibs for the money in existence.

That makes two of us! I've already fallen once.

I'm starting to get the hang of clipping in. Out is easy for me, unless I accidentally shift my weight to the wrong side.
