Crashed Saturday requiring an unconscious me to be transported to the hospital during which my sunglasses went missing. I'm fine, just a concussion, scrapes, cuts and bruises. Helmet was trashed as well. So...

Finally got around to buying my blinkie light for my road bike. I've been swapping my other light from bike to bike as I ride through tunnels on most rides, and was crapping myself last weekend as I forgot to do it. now my road bike permanently has one. Blink away....

Yesterday I went to Performance for the last day of their sale...I went to buy some bibs and maybe a jersey...but then I walked past the "up to 50% off" bin. These caught my eye (Shimano R106):
I've been riding my current shoes for 5+ years and had wanted to get new ones, so I tried 'em on and they fit nicely. Best news...they were marked down to $75...they had a scuff or two on 'em but that didn't bother me at all.
Also picked up one of these on eBay two weeks ago...now I finally have the same saddle on both my bikes!

Super stoked for these. I'm coming off of shimano R086, so I've had the vent down there, though I'm definitely excited for it not to just be a hole this time, there's some mesh there now. I'm about to go for my first ride, but just trying them in the store I could instantly feel how light and stiff they were. Should be a huge improvement!

For my CX bike. My last race was more like a 5k than a bike race, thanks to a goat head thorn on the backside of the course.

It arrived today, so I tested it out with my bike.
Now I can finally weigh my stuff and feel like I am cool like all you guys with scales out there. Really, it was a dollar so I bought it. Doesn't hurt to have!

105 pedals, definitely the best bang for the buck in my opinion.

I am sure there is room for improvement in all of those areas, but its a great step up from 25lb Allez that I was riding previously.
This is exactly why i bought the scale. Claimed weights mean nothing, actual weight means a lot. Your weight means the most.

I just mounted them and took them for a test spin. They felt great....very smooth action and instant power transfer. My first time with clipless and had no issues getting in or out. And yeah, they do look pretty cool...

Totally understand. I do have like the most entry level of their road bikes though. I know Tom's bike (SL Pro Elite) is like 13.9lbs or something. He rides Sram Red/Force with a 12/36!! So there is definitely potential for some weight loss. But it gives me something to do ext year
