Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah I've been waiting around for a bit for a deal to come up on a stem. I've dropped my 17° stem one spacer from where I was originally fit, and I feel like I could drop down to a 6 or 7° stem now. Plus I can't put my computer on the stem and remove it easily with a 17° stem. Should work better on the 6/7. The Bontrager ended up being a bit less than the 3T sale price, is only a few grams heavier, and the advertised weight is still a bit less than my current stem.

I bought the 700, lol. I just started cycling and it got dark last week on my Thursday night group ride, then the thunderstorm came. The dude with this light was like a hero, lol. Unfortunately it just barely fits onto my PRO bars.

It's hard to believe that little piece of carbon hardware costs upwards of $300.

What's really strange is a factory can build the entire bike with the Campy Record parts for $800, of course it sells for nowhere near that price. One could probably figure that derailleur cost Campy $45 to $65 to make, and it's about half that much for Dura Ace since China builds those.

After scouring for skewers I ended up with a set of 105 skewers for my new wheel set. Seems all my forum/'net research ended pointing back to internal cam Shimano and Campy. 105 black will match my new wheels.

Surprisingly, my helmet was delivered today.

It's amazing how neat these look on the shelves and in photos and how absolutely awful it looks on me.

I thought the same. I really wanted the version with the shield on it. When i tried it on a the shop i thought i looked worse than my current atmos. I said this on another thread and i was classified as an ignorant baboon with no acceptance of different life forms and opinions lol.

i may wait for the aero helmet that specialized came up with. Hopefully it looks like i thought the attack would look.
