Actually, I lied. The Thomson seatpost that I swapped with the stock FSA SLK seatpost is my most recent purchase. The bike itself, 2nd most recent only.

After a very rainy, windy, and chilly ride in, hopped over to Nashbar & picked up a fresh rain jacket (LY's is pretty nasty)...
And a fresh pair of toe covers (LY's pretty destroyed)...

Arm warmers . . . it's been getting chilly.
Also picked up a pair of Pearl Izumi socks because the toe cut in the ankle-high socks I currently have is bloody uncomfortable.
Yay for a fixie that's sporting drop bars!
I like your style! (I'm always hungry.)

Yeah? I've considered adding chemicals and packs but avoided it last year. You wear your road shoes or do you go to mountain or full shoes?

I ended up investing in Sidi Diablo mtb boots. They're fine on their own in moderately cold/wet stuff. The Gore Tex works great, but I think it's a stretch to call them "insulated".
But when it gets really cold, I do use the chem warmers (they will last 4+ hours) and neoprene overshoes for extra insulation.

FWIW, I ride down into the teens with just PI toe covers and chemical warmers. Gotta use Grabber warmers though, they're the best.

Teens here too (Ohio) would probably be an average bottoming out temp. Okay.. okay.. definitely trying the warmers when it drops down later this year, just the price over a long winter (LY's never seemed to end) can add up?

Those eastons would look pretty good with the black caad9 frame. especially since I am going with a black/white/red color scheme.
White saddle w red accent, red accent on cannondale cranks, white tape, red hudz, black everywhere else.
As it is now. It looks like I'll be riding my scandium dura ace wheels with this build. These have red nipples, so that's pretty fortunate.
