Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just bought my racing license for 2014... it's unbelievable the amount of money that is expended in order for me to suffer like never before!

I'm always nervous about my bikes being out on a rack. I usually just pack them into the trunk/backseat to avoid having to look back in the rear-view and see them suspended from the car at 55+ MPH.

You get used to hauling bikes. I have a 5 bike rack and I have actually put 5 bikes on it. Bungees are nice to keep everything from moving around. I am not worried about anything falling off a Class III receiver, with a locked hitch pin. I had an attachment for my snowboards but that wobbled like crazy and freaked me out. I just stuck them in the car instead and cleaned up the snow later.

I just installed mine (again) although I went with a 38mm this time. So comfortable and cheap.

It's heaven-sent as a climber being able to go on the drops while climbing

Yeah I got them from Performance, marked down to $175. Then used a $115 in gift cards I got for Christmas and 14% off deal they ran on New Years day. I couldn't be happier with them. Used them on the trainer a few times and outside for the first time today. Very comfortable and extremely light! I can't wait to log more miles in them.

Yeah, today, they were half-price at Performance...so like $144 less another 15% for close out items, total $123 + $11 shipping...almost pulled the trigger...

I paid full MSRP for my blue ones...and my camo mtb ones.

Ridiculous, but I'd do it again. They are easily my favorite bike shoe.

edit: Actually, I take that back, I got the blue ones on sale at Arts.

Looks like it is still giving it the sniff test. Won't know it approves until it rubs its face on it and claims it as its own.

not counting tires and tubes, I bought two vests this past fall (one wind vest and one thermal vest), wool arm warmers, and , the first week of January, a new pair of PI Elite bibs.
