Rain cover, cable lock, two light weight bottle cages, stem spacers, kinda theft proof 30 gram titanium skewers, floor pump with gauge and Park work stand. Amazing what a NEW bike needs.

There are trails in my area with 15% pitches some pitching to 30% at times...this isn't just a city bike either, I plan to get up North with it. Essentially I wanted a triple's capability in a double. Here's a gearing comparison between the 46/36 10 spd it was and the 48/32 11 spd it will now be.

Haha, sorry I didn't mean to give you a hard time. Like I said, it made sense when I realized the bike was a gravel grinder. I've been on one hill in my area with a 20% pitch and I almost died going up it in 34/25. My legs were screaming when I finally got to the top.

lol....It's all good, I'm a rather technical fellow, but I am new to all the tech with cycling, so, the more eyes of experience on it the better. I'd hate to miss something obvious to others and end up pissing money away, therefore all opinions are appreciated....

It's funny around here, I traverse a few areas through parks with these pitches whereas I notice the pure roadie types go around sticking to flatter routes but shared with road traffic. I'd rather avoid the cars as much as I can, enjoy the park scenery, and just deal with the short but at times severe inclines...it's fun, I think?!?!?! I need to set up another wheelset biased for off-road. That's what's cool with these bikes & the wider tire clearances. I'm thinking a tire with a slick center tread but good knobs on the shoulders would be the ticket.

My most recent purchases weren't from a bike shop. No bike shop around here (within 50 miles) don't sell Selle Anatomica saddles. I few friends gave the saddles a glowing recommendation so I decided to try one. Got one for the Litespeed and loved it after a couple of miles. Been comfortable for several rides so bought a second one for the Felt.
Keep your eyes on the For Sale forum. I'll be posting my Specialized Toupe and Specialized Romin saddles if anyone is interested.

I had ordered a Felt F4 and kept getting the run around about when it would show up. It's been almost seven weeks and the bike shop just called telling me Felt was pretty unclear of when the bike would show up, no time frame to give. However Felt offered to give me a F2 for the same money. So, I just bought a Felt F2 with electronic ultegra 11 speed, better frame and coponents. I had bought Zipp carbon bars and seatpost and an alloy stem for the cockpit on the F4 that I am going to now use on the F2. The F2 comes with 3T carbon bars and post and a 3T alloy stem. Guess I can 're coupe some cash off these and the wheelset.
Should have the bike on the 14th. Can't wait.

I just picked up the Topeak Road Morph G pump for my road bike, and it's AWESOME! I originally bought a Topeak Pocket Rocket and didn't like it...



I also picked up the Camelbak Podium Big Chill bottle and it's the best bottle I've ever owned:



Got a Velo 9 so I can keep track of my cycling distance/speed:

I bought this as an accessory to my road bike; a 2013 Specialized Rockhopper w/WTB 2.3" Vigilante tires in a ghetto tubeless config, PDW mud shovel fenders, Oury grips, and upgraded platform pedals. It's not my photo but it's identical to the bike in the pic (sans the fenders).



'round here there's so much sand and ice on the roads still that you're taking your life into your hands trying to ride on the streets or even the local bike path. I was getting tired of not being able to ride so I bought a winter whip. I wanted a fat bike but with the Vigilante tires it's enough for me to ride on roads that I'd be eating pavement with my road bike.

I haven't figured out why thought but for the second time around I ended up with a black bike with white trim.

After riding mountain bikes for the last 20 years, I took the plunge and purchased a 2009 Scott Addict r4. Can't wait for the snow to melt so I can get used to riding this fast machine!
