Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

After suggestions to get shoes and pedals over new shifters for my POS bike, I bought some shimano clipless pedals and a pair of scattante shoes.

went around the block, and I can tell a world of difference with this setup VS platform pedals and toe straps. UGH I'll never go back. Except the spikey platforms on my mountain bike....

In an effort to stave off my urges to buy road shoes and pedals I have purchased some new SPD pedals.

And to placate my wife I bought her a new helmet.

Edit: now I kind of want a new helmet. I really hope it gets warm here soon so I stop thinking about riding and start actually riding.

I love those wheels. As training wheels they've been rock solid for me for years. I've even used 'em off road with 'cross tires a few times.

Titanium Bianchi

I purchased this yesterday at a local swap-meet. I believe it is a '97 TI-SS2 frame. It is a titanium Bianchi.

The picture is of how it was purchased, I have since put a set of Mavic Ksyrium ssc wheels on it.

This is my 4th one and I was able to return 2. I test rode a CAAD 10 that had this Prologo (without the cutout) and it felt great. I'm looking forward to getting it mounted and dialed in.
