So all of your comments are based on you being judgmental, got it. Take the smugness elsewhere, and yes, one can be smug about their thriftiness. It's annoying.
So since you bring it up, I guessed you for a pearl izumi guy just based on previous posts of yours. It's fine if you like it, but it's not for me and the quality and fit is nowhere near the level of assos or rapha.
Three things I take into consideration when buying cycling clothes is the fit of the garment, the quality of the garment, and then the appearance. PI doesn't make much that fits me the way I want it to, and their top end stuff, which does for decently, is too expensive for the quality.
But it's cool, you should just go to the pi outlet at anthem and load up on cheap fabrics, then it'll give you more smugness to project on bike forums.
Then let's bring up the fact you started all this over my post which said I got half off at the local shop. **** dude, you find me a $100 bibshort that's half as good and I'll eat it.

After reading the last few posts, I was a bit reluctant to post this one but what the heck. I'm not affiliated with Pearl Izumi in any way, though.

I have plenty of PI stuff... bibs don't cut it... but their gloves, hats, and arm and leg warmers are fine. Even many of their jackets are nice. Rapha pro team bibs are the snizzle... yeah I didn't pay retail, but I would if I had too. I can pretty much wear anything under 50miles.. but anything more then that...I'm wearing rapha.

Some XT pedals for the CX bike and an 6700 cassette for a wheel build.

New "smaller" saddle bag for my Emonda.SLR
I also bought a Trek 8.5 DS for those days when I want to ride something different.
Old saddle bag moved to it.

I've got those... my only complaint is the hard plastic logo on the back (now removed) and that the color faded ridiculously fast.
I've bought a used Edge 800, a new blackburn airstick SL, extra tubes and some extra co2 cartridges.
tomorrow I'll be buying shipping to send my road bike to vegas and back for GF las vegas.

I may have less of a negative image of PI in my mind if they didn't overdo the logos and graphics on everything they make. It just makes it look like cheap wal mart stuff to be honest.

Funny you should mention that. My wife dislikes brands that place their logos all over the place. Her first reaction on my PI gloves was, "Hmmm, those logos stand out a lot."

Black gloves make the logos less obvious.
I'd worry more about the motorist who almost hit you claiming that they didn't see your hand signal...

I can't remember my last update to this thread. I think since then I have acquired:
Specialized Sworks shoes
Speedplay zeros
Fizik Aliante Versus saddle
Loving all of them, except *sometimes* the shoes seem just a bit too small. I got the size I wear for everything else, but I have big bulbous toes and on the left side, sometimes my pinky toe rubs around. Not always though.

black + black = best case scenario.
I got these yesterday, they are less offensive, I think.
