Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

And Lowcel, yours are quite spiffy in a saddle-shoes, 20's-gangster kind of way, but they're not categorically clownshoes...

I wanted solid white but they were a two month wait. I actually like them though, they are very easy to keep clean.

Just bought some speedplays for the new bike I'm building. The frame should be here tomorrow.

New old saddle. Before you ask how it compares to a Brooks, I haven't ridden it yet. The vintage bike it's going on is still being built.

While on mile 80 of a solo century two weekends ago, I was riding into a headwind and decided to rest my forearms on my top tube and noticed I was easily able to sustain 25mph into the headwind. I'd remembered seeing Rasmussen doing that while working for Denis Menchov back in '06 and since I was riding in a relatively safe place to try it...
Mayhaps with these little suckers, I might be able to finish my five-hour centuries in 4:30 instead...

I'd ask how much, but not only would that be gouche, it may cause me to consider one if the price was right.

Thanx for sharing and enjoy floating up the hills.

Remind me not to go on any rides with you, unless it's your recovery ride!

I just picked up the 105 double crankset, 105 FD, Selle Italia XO saddle, a couple Camelback podium chill bottles, and a white Lezyne under seat bag. Here are the latest pics of the build. I finally got a chance to ride it a little today. I love it so far. I could use a zero setback seatpost though.

I know I keep posting pictures of this, but I can't help it. My name's Jason, and I'm a post-aholic.
