Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Building up with Thomson bits, 2013 Force, Ergonovas, and Novatec/A23 wheelset. The frame was the last piece to order, so just have to wait for everything to arrive and I can get building!

No photos yet. After selling my bikes, my tools, my apparel, everything last May, I've been entirely away from bikes. Last week, though, I took delivery of a new BMC Team Machine SLR-01 w/ Ultegra Di2. It feels good to be back in the saddle.

Once these are dialed in, they offer excellent power and modulation- great for any mod-retro build.

My Giant Iguana

Had it for 6 months.
Got it used off Trade Me (NZ eBay) $400NZ bucks $320 US.
and replaced the seat, since the photo was taken, put on 2.60 tires for beach use,
The rear disc brake feels like its been greased, for the past 2 days.
Re crimped the rear cable which fixed it for about 10 minutes.
Now what?
Any suggestions?

Were you removing the pads to clean them? Next time, just leave them in, and shampoo the helmet. All you need to clean out is the same funk that you wash out of your hair anyway. I don't think pads were really meant to be un-velcroed and re-velcroed any further than their original installation.

New frame/fork, handlebars, headset, and a couple other items should be here in a couple days. I can't wait.
All SuperiorLite SL Pro. Probably building it up with my force group, but I might put rival on there temporarily and wait to be a Red group in pieces. I have not yet decided.
