Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Actually, with the most recent firmware update, things seem to be much better...I updated about 200 miles ago and have only lost my phone connection once so far.

There are some tricks to using it though, for example, if you load your route before you leave and the end point is the same as the start point, it'll constantly tell you to turn around and head to end point the entire ride. I get around this by starting/loading the route after I start my ride. I'm not sure if this was ever fixed or not, I just work around it now.

Feel free to shout if you have any questions or come across anything odd. I've had mine for a few months now and have encountered a handful of issues, but the firmware updates have been plentiful and it seems to get better with each one.

My former LBS is getting out of the "Specialized" business and only selling Trek going forward. So they're blowing out all the Spesh merch.

I got a pair of Comp MTB shoes, a pair of gloves and a Bar Phat grip tape kit, each 40% off.

Nice. I remeber when my LBS stopped selling Cervelo's, they were practically giving them away. If I had money at the time I would've bought one with no hesitation. Maybe even two.

My preferred LBS did the same. I have a Spesh helmet from when I first bought my MTB back in 2006, but now they're only Trek/Bonty stuff.

The heat isn't that bad, but it takes a year or two to adjust to it.

My boss and his wife didn't complain about the heat either.

@7:30pm it's 92 degrees, and 46% humidity in NW Phoenix.

I have no idea what the average humidity is, but it didn't seem humid today( just pretty warm).

I sound tough now, but when it gets below 60 degrees I'll sound like a little split-tail.
