I have to say the new stem looks much better. I started with a stem setup like the one on the top thinking i was having neck issues due to the inclination forward but turns out that having the bars to high was putting too much tension on my traps. Lowering the bars released that tension and my neck was able to move more freely.
I've had a 100mm adjustable stem on my MTB that's been set to around 5-7° for awhile now, so this one will be perfect whenever I get around to getting 31.8 flat bars. That damn adjustable stem junk creaks like you would not believe, especially when I was actually trail riding it the other day.

I just bought them so I'm fairly confident that the next back will change to black spokes. lol They're basically the only wheel I know of still using silver spokes, not sure why but whatever...the right wheel for me at a decent price. If they don't fit I'm buying china-carbon 23mm wide wheels.

I'm really interested in these wheels so I asked Flo on their site forum. They said they didn't have plans to offer black spokes for now. I hope they change their mind next year before I pull the trigger on new wheels.

So I know this thread is about what you have purchased but I am going to make it about what I am about to purchase or rather I need your guys help deciding what to get.
These are the two options and they are both worth about the same:
1) Vuelta a Puerto Rico: 4 day ride worth more than 400 miles. Supported with SAG vehicles, police ******* and many many people to ride with in a peloton setting without the race pace. This is my home town and something about me would love to ride the entire country in 4 days with a bunch of cyclist. That being said I think it is a little expensive and could be done for much less if I were to plan it on my own. Est. price: $2,000.00 +/- includes either bike shipping or bike rental, registering fee for the event is $500, flight tickets, hotel stays etc...

2) Zipp 404 Firecrest Carbon Clincher Wheelset: A wee bit more than the trip. You guys know what it is.
PS. With option one I might be able to pick up a pair of chinese Carbon Clinchers for less than 500 that i've heard work fine. I just got a power meter so I feel a bit guilty getting a set of Zipps but sometimes you really want it and there is little you can do about it... I am also disappointed in my race results so I really dont deserve the wheels but then again, it's my money.
Should I wait until I finish my first racing season next year for the ZIpps as an achievement prize? Should I get them before so I can use them during the race season?

I'd take option 1. No material thing in this world would EVER replace experience/s. You can buy the Zipps later. You sound like you have deep pockets and I'm sure Christmas would be a good excuse for some nice wheels.

Not a purchase, but an anniversary gift from the wife for our 24th year of marriage bliss.....Schylling Bike Streamers-(in multicolor-red,yellow,blue,green) "fits all bikes,trikes,scooters,motorcycles-ages 6+". She got these for my new Madone. Thankfully they turned out to be a gag gift. She really had me worried that I was going to have to actually install the things for several minutes. Couldn't imagine any way that was ever gonna look acceptable in public. She enjoyed making me squirm. I was about to run out to walmart and get her one of those helmets with the spikey mohawk across the top as a thank you exchange. Our new bikes are our wedding/Christmas this year, so this was all in fun. Do wish her new Giant Thrive would finally get here though; hopefully this month so the LBS says. Wedgie

Edit: BTW, the 23 page installation manual is entirely in German. I hope someone at my LBS can read it or has the patience to use Google Translate on it.

Easy to set up. Once they are set they don't move. You adjust them by using the tool. I really like them and they stop just as well as my 7900. I would buy them again. They are not cheap.

Erm, a specialized allez (first road bike) to keep my hybrid and mtb company. A lezyne track pump, spare cateye mounts so I can swap the lights from bike to bike, some paint protector film (just watched someone jolting against my bike whilst chaining theirs to the same rail in the compound-grr), oh and I'm hoping to get to the bike shop before it starts raining as they have my raceblades ready to fit now!! And a spesh bottle cage and spare inner tube to fit the new tyres and now really thinking of getting either a heart rate monitor or a garmin......
