Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Picked up a Castelli Senza (in Drive Blue) jacket and some Showers Pass Cross Point socks yesterday. I'm really glad I bought the jacket at a B&M store since I was unfamiliar with Castelli sizing, and the Medium proved way too snug.

Garmin 510 and some SRAM SuperSuede tape, at a suggestion in another thread.

For anyone looking for a bike computer or GPS, hang in there for a while longer. Now that I've gotten off the fence and decided on one, there's sure to be new version soon.

Bianchi Oltre XR2 frameset... chomping at the bit for it to come in. Slightly concerned that it's not going to be the color scheme I wanted, seems that what is out there for pictures varies a lot.

Interesting you post this. I'm on the fence about knee warmers vs leg warmers. Last year I was fine w/ some nylon running leggings (baggy, not form fit) and it got me thru, though honestly so long as my feet & upper body are warm, I could get by with shorts all thru winter but I know some legging or another would probably help.

It makes a lot of difference, but depending on your "socal" location I bet mornings here are much cooler. 35f and I'm good with wool socks and knee warmers.

Retul fit. Knee tracking was within 9mm, but seat was too low and far back. Who knew?

Congrats! The AeroPress makes about the best cup of coffee around. I switch between that and the new Chemex ("pour over") I just bought.

It does make a great cup of coffee and it's quick. I like my Bialetti Mocha pot but this is so much faster. Also, I travel a lot and carrying my mocha pot was a pain. This will work out nicely.

I'm somewhat curious where you found it, I feel like I scoured champaign for 3 days trying to find one until I finally had to settle for Mr coffee.

Life lesson: travel with the damn thing because other towns can't be trusted.

My local coffee hangout in East Peoria called Eysals got several in recently. It was like $28.
