Thanks for the links and tips. I'm about your waist size, but losing weight as I get fit. I'll probably be a 36" waist when done. I ordered an XXL Gore jacket from Amazon and it was like a sausage casing @ 210 lbs, so returned it.

bought some new lube. switching from finish line teflon dry lube to this stuff because i bought a bottle and it was thick and milky and awesome for my chain, then i bought a big bottle and its like they filled it 2/3rds of the way with solvent and it takes forever to dry. when i wipe of the excess off my chain, ive basically already wiped most of the lube off. hope this stuff sticks to the chain better

I bought a buddy a Serfas Thunderbolt taillight as a gift for his new bike. He's so frugal, he'd never buy a $45 tail light. But it might save his life! So, good gift I think. We did 40 hard miles today, him on his new fancypants bike....

Zipp 404 FC's ordered for the Cervelo. Will probably run them sans Zipp decals. Deal too good to pass up.

Get a life, loser. How about you remove your seat post from your backside and lighten up.

Bottom Bracket from Amazon for an old Flandria with French threads. I thought it would be a problem to find the correct spindle length to fit an old Cottered Chain Ring set but I lucked out and the fit was right on

STP,
Not sure how tight or loose a fit you are looking for. Most of the stuff I have are either nearly form fitting (semi-form) or rather form fitting (now 204 lbs and can now fit both hands within my waist of my pants) . I really like having no wrinkles in the clothing because when I have, they irritated when they moved so I try to get a 'just right' kind of fit. Also, I have been losing weight too so I would like this stuff to fit all summer and not need to buy again so soon so I don't mind the racer fit now for a more relaxed fit by summer. My jersey fits me smoothly but not so much that I feel a lack of blood loss. Maybe I am wearing them too tight! So far I have been comfortable and Pearl Izumi could fit looser than Gore. Might want to give them a try. It has worked for me. I also thnk Pearl Izumi might be easy to find at the local bike shop so you could try on sizes before committing. I know, we should support our local bike shop. Well, with the fact that I have purchased 4 jerseys, a pair of elite barrier tights, softshell jacket and 3 pairs of shorts from them plus a bunch of stuff for my wife and 3 taillights, I think I have supported them enough not to feel too guilty ordering some things online.
I hope you get it all worked out. I really love my cycling clothes and I think the fact that I feel more connected to the cycling community helps also to motivate me to ride more.
Best of luck with your sizes. I am sure the perfect jacket is waiting for you.
Frank

Asking what someone paid on this thread is entirely appropriate. Doubly so when they say things like, it was too good a deal to pass up.

I got them from Pro Bike Kit for $1950 but I think I got the last set at that price. I don't see anymore 404 clinchers for sale with a Shimano/SRAM freehub. They still have an 808 rear clincher at a good price.

I just think it's a rude question but it's something that is totally accepted in the American culture. Most other cultures there is no excuse at all for asking someone that. I often wonder what someone got a deal for, so I just ask where they got it and answer my own question. I'm still getting my info but I'm not prying into personal information. I think if someone says they got a good deal and doesn't offer the price, that's to be taken as a sign maybe they didn't plan to share how much they spent on an item.

I don't see it as being rude or intrusive to ask and I don't see it being rude or evasive to not answer. Not a big deal.

Wow, great find. Congrats. Thank you and sorry if my "rude" question was out of line. After all, I'm just an American, not as skilled in the fine art of forum etiquette as one of our foreign friends here.
