I bought hat as an experiment and hoping that the bill might help with the extreme glare when riding west here in ABQ, NM--sunset can be BRUTAL. So far: keeps my head/ears warm, although on coldest days I might still need earmuffs; bill neither hurts nor helps; looks COOL ;-).

Thanks. I'll post up some pics once I pick her up and get her all tune in.
There have been alot of comments bashing this bike, how ugly it is and how stupid it looks. All I can say to them is that, you NEED to test ride this beast. I had a chance to test ride it for 20 mins on a trail in Vegas and that was the most fun I have ever had on a bike EVER!
Thanks man, I'm very lucky plus wife allows me to keep my EVO also

im sure youll have fun on it and im not saying you made a bad decision, but i would much rather have a normal CX bike or a XC bike, not a bastard child of both
but thats just my personal opinion and now ive forced it upon the interwebs.
i actually think it looks pretty cool in a mad max kinda way

It's been a very spendy last few weeks...
1. Giant TCR Advanced SL2 - stripped it and moving my 9070 components over.
1a. Reynolds Aero 48 for the Giant. - waiting on delivery.
2. Trek 9.9 Madone
3. Assos ChronoSuit in White and Black, Bonka Jacket, Habu Tights and Socks. - waiting on delivery
4. Bell Pro Shield Helmet, Kask Infinity Helmet and just now from CC a Smith Overtake - waiting on delivery.
5. a few bits and parts i needed for moving the 9070 over from my Propel.
6. 3 Polar water bottles when they had their 50% off. LIke the option of putting my name on it as customization.
I'm still looking for a pair of shoes, wanted some Lake CX402's. I found it on Colorado Cyclist, but they don't have the wide fit.
The giant isn't done yet, waiting for my carbon bars to arrive. I guess you can add that another thing i bought.

A new helmet (Giro AtmosII) and since deciding to get back to doing at least most of my own maintenance, some Pedro's tools.

Broke down and purchased my first real cycling headlight for the daytime flashing. And working on keeping the feet warm below 60 for multihour rides.

if you need a little extra help with the toes, toe warmers, between a sock liner and another sock of your choice. or sometimes just over a single thick sock :-)

Unfortunately, I think the solution is going to involve a new pair of shoes with room for thicker socks, et al. Probably can find something on sale at Performance or REI that won't break the bank and that I can try on. If the silk liners and shoe covers help to 50ºF, I'll be happy. The insoles might also help. Winter doesn't last very long here. Yesterday it was 70! Getting off the bike and walking around a bit seems to help warm up the toes. I've started moving my feet around in the shoes while riding to prevent cool down. The insoles might help a bit there.
