I recently found a Specialized shop closing down. Gear and other stuff was 50% off. I went crazy, though I resisted buying any more bikes, and they were heavily discounted. Let's just say I have enough gloves, jackets, and jerseys to practically last my lifetime....plus a saddle, Camelbak MULE, Smith helmet, base layers, road shoes, etc. I also ordered my wheelset for the Tarmac S-Works Disc frame I bought a few weeks ago...DT240s, Sapim CX Rays, brass polyax nipples, and NOX carbon rims.

I use the Rubino Pro III Slick. Typically get 23's or 25's around that price.

But yeah, that's about as low as you will ever see them.

Morvélo® - Ride Everything

I like the look of this and some of the other products on the Morvélo site. How have you found the sizing? . I'm right on the cusp between an Large and an XL according to their chart. Also I'm in the US. How is shipping/customer service?

Everything has arrived in reasonable time to the Atlanta suburbs - a week to ten days. I've not had to return anything. When you calculate shipping cost it will knock a few dollars off the price of the garment. The $90 jersey went down to $81.50 or so for me. Shipping then brought it back up to almost the original price.

I own two Hemisphere gilets and one Thermoactive long sleeve jersey. The zippered pocket is a nice feature.

I am 5"8" 190lbs and also on the edge between L and XL based on chest size. The XL gilet and long sleeve thermal jersey have worked for me although I have not tried anything in size L and have not had to return anything. I've also not tried the bibs.

The gilet is cut very long and cover most of my butt when standing upright, less when on the saddle of course. Easy access to the pockets and the arm holes are not restrictive. The fit is very good when I wear UnderArmor mock turtleneck, regular Assos jersey and Morvelo thermal jersey underneath.

The thermal jersey is a bit of an enigma. The forearms are long and thin - look at the models on the website and you will get the idea. I don't have much of a belly and it fits fine around the lower torso but not as long as the gilet. Entry to the pockets are higher up than on the gilet. The shoulders however are cut full. The extra room in the shoulders is why I think some on these forums have said they didn't like Morvelo because they found them to be baggy. I would not say they are baggy but full cut in the shoulders. Not race cut, that's for sure. If I were just wearing a thin jersey underneath I might go with a L and not an XL.

I wish I could be more specific. As I said, at least on other person here said they are baggy.

Not really sure about the XL jersey just ordered. I won't layer things underneath it and hope I don't have to send it back to England. I don't like things too tight anyway and so am hopeful.



Edit: Also just saw this on their website: Please note that our Standard Jerseys are now more of a race fit like our Nth Series Jerseys.

Finally upgraded my road/gravel bike to 10 speed. I got a nice deal on a Sram Apex mini group (brifters, cassette and rd/fd) so I will be slowly installing that getting ready for a new season. I will have my first gravel race at the end of March.

I went a bit crazy the past month or so. 2016 Jamis Renegade Expat with GP4 Seasons(winter bike), Planet Bike Fenders, Tiagra 4700 crank, Tacx Voretex Smart, Garmin 810, 2 pairs of Garmin speed/cadence sensors, Castelli Sorpasso bib knickers, Castelli Free Aero bib shorts, Gore WS shoe covers, Gore WS gloves, Shimano Accu3dr bib tights, Sugoi Sub zero leg warmers, Endura Merino baselayer, Castelli Merino socks, Shimano 6800 pedals, some Ibera side-pull bottle cages and more. I use and abuse all of it, so no regrets. I was very close to getting a 5800 gruppo for the Jamis from Ribble just because it is so cheap, and also eyeing the 2016 Felt AR1 frameset. I need to find a support group. No more cycling stuff for me 'til summer.
