Mavic Recall

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There's actually a Mavic dealer here that has the nerve to charge $50 to handle any R-SYS exchange under this recall...

I've been wrong before, but I'm not entirely sure that's allowed. Perhaps you should talk directly to Mavic or CPSC about that?

I'm sure it's not allowed. That's why everybody's been raising a stink about it here...

I don't own R-SYS wheels...seemed like crap wheels when they came out (and fugly, too), and I'm glad now that I didn't buy them.

Man I don't care what they did to "fix" this wheel, I will not be riding on these. Ever.

Word, even if they reinforce it with so much cast iron steel that it just becomes one huge cast iron disc.
