Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

OMG, it's built in Taiwan? Who in their right mind would buy a carbon frame from there?!? I can't believe they add that in!

Enlightening.

Are you being sarcastic? Most carbon frames are made in Taiwan - high quality stuff.

Favorite part was unorthodox but attention getting left/right split audio for the voice over, and where he's breathing into the microphone when not talking. The "p's" popping is a nice effect as well.

good marketing is expected.

but poor marketing is a striking hash at the company's reputation in my mind. if they can't even get the marketing lingo correct, they might as well not even try. i'd rather listen to the OSO guy stumble on his words than this ****e.

I'm with you this brought back child hood memories I didnt want back of those crappy videos they showed you in grade school that you always fell asleep to. The cheesey effects and horrible voice overs were better than ambian.

I swear it sounded like he was drooling when he said "Beefy" then like the was wiping the spit from his mouth/sucking it back in right after he said that. Something tells me he is really into this frame, and not in the way most cyclists are into their bikes.

I could not make myself watch the video long enough to hear him mention the beefy bottom bracket.

I was just wondering how many bike industry guys check out BF to see what we think of their company, their products, or the videos they produce. If someone sent them a link to this thread, would they pull the video and produce something more professional?

That was so funny I almost cried!!! "...an anvil..."???!!!! Oh...and I have the LP soundtrack for American Flyers...haven't listened to it in a while, but I don't remember that music. I could be wrong, but I think he more likely owes some porno music composer a royalty check.....a big.....beefy check.

They should have used classy Zapf Chancery font rather than 80's kitsch, it is usually reserved for only the finest articles.

I have the Aluminum frame built up with Ultegra SL and really enjoy riding it. Other bike is a Cannondale Synapse SL. If folks think the Marketing effort is amateurish, then that really drives home Nugent's point that they do not have "Marketing", sponsor a pro team, etc. This allows Neuvation to deliver a low cost, high value product. It's just a question of business model, as he states in one of his videos. Do you want to buy a Coke for $0.35, or $4.00? Neuvation is the $0.35 option, and there are many other options at higher prices. They are all good, just different.

Maybe we're being too harsh on John.

After all, his brother Ted rocks.
