Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Titanium Deals on eBay This Week

Here's my list of eBay deals on cool awesome ultra great long riding smooooooth Ti bikes. And a lotta bling, too !

If you're looking for a new ride for this season and you wanna convert to the Ti culture, now's the time to buy. There are not nearly as many available as there were in Nov. & Dec., but they are still out there.

Like new 55cm $1599 Merlin:

NOS Serotta Nove for $2,800. I like this bike a lot. DA build:

A really pretty Litespeed Siena with Ultegra group for $1,699:

A NEW Litespeed Icon built with Ultegra grop for $3,295 with free shipping. That's about the normal price of the frame. It's from a bike shope in Vail, where I guess this time of year they don't do much cycling on the road
https://cgi.ebay.com/Litespeed-2008-I...3A1%7C294%3A50

These people have two new Litespeed Sienas for $2,500 each built with Ultegra:
https://cgi.ebay.com/2006-Litespeed-S...3A2%7C294%3A50

Just for comparison, here's a listing for another Siena with Ultegra build, but it's almost $3,000:

There are a lot of other Litespeeds on eBay this week - it looks like it's Litespeed Clearance Days on eBay

Just like my LBS just about every bike is a 56. I did pick up this Titus Frame of eBay this morning (EST).

I've been looking for a deal on a Ti frame for a while. This one has very similar geometry to my Madone so I shouldn't have any problem getting it fit. Just yesterday I talked with a shop about aordering a new base seven ti frame. The straight gauge tubing model. I got this Titus for about 1/2 what the Seven was going to cost. Now I need to decide on which fork. I'm thinking an Alpha Q GS-20 or EC90.

I scored a NOS Seven Alaris, the one made with straight gauge Ti. I got it for less than 1/2 the retail cost cause it was built as a special order but guy cancelled the order. It's pretty awesome. I got it off eBay in November.
