Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Judging fellow BFers based on Avatar

Judging people is fun.

I will start:

Avatar = Picture of yourself riding: type of cyclist that follows every rule of the road and looks neat and tidy while doing it. Washes gear after every ride. Speed isnt important. The key to their ride is not pissing anyone off. Loves Lance Armstrong.

Avatar = black and white photo: Takes the ride a little to seriously. Doesnt speak during the ride. Rides a classic bike and kit. Typically a solid rider but really laim to ride with because they are so predictable. Doesnt really follow the racing scene. Rides because its against the grain.

Lovin the hate.

Avatar = hot women: Fun person to ride with. Doesnt give a sh#t when riding the bike. Will break up the group with a hard effort for some fun. Is one of the few cycling dorks that can actually pick up a girl without speaking about something cycling related (impossible for 99% of BFers).

Hell yes, I take it seriously. Seriously enough to win the TdF back in '28, by God.

Animal Avatar: Doesnt take the ride seriously enough yet is fast . Avoids roadkill and stops to feed the horses. Generally speaking, not a group rider but loves to ride.
