Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Adidas adiStar Blizzard Jacket, any one?

I've been trying to find a good jacket / heavy jersey for colder weather cycling. Yeah, it's a bit late in the season, but I can't stand trainer anymore... I was looking for GORE products, particularly their 'Tool' jacket, but many people said their gore-tex stuff aren't breathable. Ran into this one @ performance bike. Anyone has any experience with this jacket? Looks pretty good. (And yes, I did try searching, no result).

Well, took the plunge and bought it w/ 20% off. Just got it today. First impression is that it's going to be pretty warm. Got several zip-open vents and some areas that are breathable. Looks good. I should be able to try it out this weekend.

I have one and have worn it once in low 30"s F. Wore a long sleeved base layer under it and was comfortable. I like it so far.

In the same boat. Just purchased mine with 20% discount but priced @ $119.96 prior to discount. Also got lucky on DESCENTE Shelter jacket(only medium left) which was bigger mark down. Been unseasonably warm since I purchased both so I have not used them however I would say both have similar cold weather characteristics. Breathable vents on the ADIDAS jacket appear to be well placed & is a race fit(has removable sticker below emblem on upper left chest). ADIDAS Jacket is a tighter fit than DECENTE jacket, in my case medium. Just wish color was black vs. red.

Good Luck
