Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

gumwall (tan color) 700x25 clincher ???

I am rebuilding a old italian bike (1961 torpedo, not the best but it has a sentimental value for the person im doing the rebuild for)

I would like to find some unexpensive gumwall tires to keep the 60'ies look but was unable to find them in the "racing slick" form.

I tought you guy's could help me since you are more around these type of tires than i ever will be, I am a cross country person!

thank you for any suggestions!

Panaracer Pasela's are affordable and easily available online or through mail order. Rivendell, Velo-Orange, Jenson USA, AEBike, etc. You have a choice of wire bead or folding versions with or without the kevlar "Tour Guard" belts.

they're 23's, but they're best riding and wearing clinchers i've ever had-
Torelli Torinos, handmade in italy, totally confidence inspiring on fast descents-in 6 months i've yet to have a puncture. best thing they're less than 35$ a tire.
you can find em at www.glorycycles.com
