What's your favorite Hammer product?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What's your favorite Hammer product?

I just picked up some Perpetuem at half price. Doesn't have a real sweet taste which is an aspect that I like but I haven't used it yet on a long ride yet. Anybody have good results with this stuff?

The apple cinnamon-ish gel is delicious, though it's really the only flavor of theirs that I like. I tried both Perpetuem and Heed and couldn't stomach either one of them.

I like the Perpetuem, the Heed, all the gels (unflavored is probably my least favorite) and the bibs. I saw all the acclaim for the bibs on this forum, ordered a pair and now Hammer is milking me monthy for all kinds of stuff...lol.

Yeah, it's pretty pricey. Sadly, at a local LBS that is going out of business.

I use unflavored Perpetuem flavored with a Hammer gel and in concentrated flask form.

You can make your own Heed at home that tastes much better for about 1/10th the cost.

That stuff is too expensive, even with a team discount.

Place one scoop (25g) in your bottle

Add a teaspoon or so (to your taste) of sugar-free drink mix such as Crystal Lite. Cheapest is WalMart's brand.

Shake.

All the other relevant stuff that's in Heed can be gotten from a decent diet and a daily multivitamin.
