Pleae post your favorite training tire and why
Just looking for a good durable puncture resistant tire. 150 to 200 miles a week. Tell me your favorite. Also what about 25's instead of 23's?

I like the Michelin Lithions when I used them. They don't provide a lot of road feedback, have a pretty good grip and weren't that expensive. They resisted punctures nicely too, and they were straightforward to mount.

I usually train with Continental Ultra Gatorskins on the rear and something 'nice' on the front (life's too short not to have something nice under my hands on the front wheel ).
Apart from the obvious (good puncture protection and reasonable durability), I find the Gators don't feel anywhere near as dead and sluggish as other 'training' tyres. I sometimes even race with a Gators on the rear if I can't be bothered changing the tyre or 'preparing' my race bike, and I don't feel disadvantaged.

Vittoria Rubino Pro Tech - they have an extra puncture protection layer - roll fast, use them all year round, great tyre.

bomb out of races. There's a compromise between really good tyres, and really, really, really good tyres

240 tpi handmade italian tires, herringbone tread, perfect road feel - yet to have a single puncture in over 6 months of 150-200 miles per week. best thing- 32$ per tire. Pro-race's and GP4000's and the like can't even compare. Perhaps the new improved Vitt. Open Corsa CX, but they're more than twice the price.
hook some up and you can thank me later.
i should be a rep for them...
