Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

With the choice given, I'd go black. But, I'd really prefer blue.

What color is your saddle and bar tape? Color coordination is the key to success.

Whatever you do, find someone who can get you an EP on those, Giro has ridiculously low EP prices.

Word. Big reason why I am looking at buying them. (I can get them at EP) Which is why easton wheels rock for employees too.

Keep in mind...I want something that will look good off the bike too. Running, skiing, walking, clubbing...the usual.(Notice: roadie culture has driven me to indecision.) I must look worthy.

Of your choices.... black. Maybe it's just me but I think they look funky. Not in a good way either.

It depends on what you look like, but my wife and her degree in design from Art Center tells me that a white guy with white sunglasses doesn't look right. I don't see anything wrong with white, but my degree is in music.

Oh, since you said you also want to wear them off the bike, definitely black (if you're Anglo). While I think white looks ok against my white helmet, I agree that my white sunglasses look horrible on me without the helmet.

I'd chose black because I would want something I can wear both off the bike and on. I don't like white frames at all. White frames off the bike usually make you look like a tool. Kind of like wearing Oakley Radars or M frames off a bike.

Just saying...

Depends on how fast you are. Only fast people can get away with white.

I've got a white helmet, glasses, bar tape, shoes and lettering on my bike and saddle. Mixxed with red tires, and I look pro, if I do say so myself.

I understand wanting your cycling sunglasses to crossover into other sports and such...but social events too? Do people really do this? I can't tell you how often I see some frat boy walking around campus in a pair of sport Oakleys...let's just say there's no way for him to not look like a d-bag

No, don't worry...purely a joke. The closest I get to clubs in this part of the woods is church...

Full-frames are good for casual, but not-so-great for cycling.
Half-frames like d0uchey when they're used for casual, unless they cost $5, you're driving a Dodge Ram and have a dusty t-shirt with the sleeves and neck cut out. In which case you're still a bag.

Yet again, an important reminder...white sunglasses will not camouflage skid marks.
