Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Dude wear the sandals in a race. Everyone you beat will live in dishonor for all of eternity. Maybe if you construct some chainmail socks the race officials will let it slide.

So instead of a competition, we should have a war.

Beer is for wussy, liquor is quicker.

Precisely. Hence my location behind the tap, along with Greg180 and CastIron.

We could pick an event off this list:

https://www.randonneurs.bc.ca/links/links.html

There are several long events in 2009, and of course numerous shorter events.

I'll be assisting those in the beer tent. Or, seeing as how I spent a couple of years of my life at culinary school and a few more working at the #4 restaurant in the state, I could probably man the chow tent.

But those are events for serious cyclists. Unless...do they make carbon sleeved cue sheet holders?
