Saturday Is the day... Ruefest 2.0...

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

buyer's remorse? Why?

it is a great ride - you seem to like it - ride as hard as you can and enjoy it to the fullest

I eagerly await your ride report.

Just don't let pizza delivery guys on 30lb bikes drop you and you'll be fine.

Man, from all I've read, you are going to love that bike. Comfort and performance. They have one on display at my LBS and I get aroused in a strange sort of way everytime I see it.

Oh im absolutely in love with it just the few months ive had it planned and ordered with the bike shop.. and The biggest reason for going with this bike is the fit, with a broken lower back every single bit of comfort I can gain is worth the money. But with anything that costs a boat load.. that week after the OMG OMG this is great... one has remorse.. Does it mean ill hate myself? nope.. ill just look at my bank account, and not care because ill be happy to have a comfortable ride that will last me many many many years ahead

Riding with a broken back is a right of passage..

I rode all last spring/summer and into the fall. I lost 60 pounds, which will help with the pain..

its just pain, except its there every waking moment of every day.. it makes you go harder and faster.. it lets you push yourself because you have sheer determination to overcome the pain.

=) So yes.. I have and will continue to ride with my broken back.

Because giving up 20-30% mobility for a surgery they say cant give any guarantee of any pain reduction is just silly..

Ill deal with the pain and move forward.

This thread actually makes me chuckle. I like the title. Make sure you post pics once you get the bike home
