Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fuji Newest 3.0 What style BB?

Does anyone know what style bottom bracket is on a 2007 Fuji Newest 3.0? Is it square taper or isis?

bikepedia doesn't say.

Why don't you just remove the crank arm bolt and take a peek?

The reason I ask is because I bought a crank arm puller for isis, but the end tip broke right off the puller since it was under too much stress. I don't know if thats because the crank arms are seized on there or if I'm using the wrong style crank puller. From all of the pictures I've seen it doesn't really look like a square taper, because there's no square shape behind the dust cap. It just looks round inside.

The cranks are just generic fuji.

This leaves me without an answer.

Try posting this in the Bicycle Mechanics forum, they will know more than I and there will be people there who want to help.

If possible, it would be better to take a pic of your bike's bb axle to show them.

Last, I think it's cool that you're working on your bike but at this point, you might want to get a few quotes from some bike shops in the crank & bb removal & install. Might be worth it to just have them do it and be done with it.

I figured it out. I was working in low light, so the grease inside the crank made it difficult to tell that it was the square taper. Once I got more light on it I realized what it was. Thankfully the store let me replace the crank puller for the right one without any problems.
