Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've used Looks for years and while I haven't switched to the Keos yet I find Looks to be superb pedals in their price range. There's a reason (Lance Armstrong) that Shimano went back to the larger Look "style" pedal a few years ago.

Looks or Shimanos. You'll do just fine.

Spend way less than $100 at www.probikekit.com

the only real difference with the classics is weight, but if your not racing it not a big deal.

I've had my Look PP296's for almost a decade now. Bearings still spin like they were bought yesterday.

I think that Lance rides Shimano pedals because they sponsor him. If any other pedal manufacturer were sponsoring him, then he would be riding their pedal.

You missed the point. He's saying Lance pressured/influenced Shimano, so they adopted a design similar to the one he liked.

I've been riding Looks ever since they first came out... last two were Delta CX6 and now Keo Ti. Great pedals - never had a problem with any of them !

OK, I get it now. I am sure most bike componet manufactures would build anything that Lance liked. Lance's name sells all things bike.

If you do decide on Keo, just make sure it's not manufactured from 2004-2005. There was a safety recall on these batch of Keo pedals.

It's an interesting theory, nonetheless. I wouldn't be surprised to hear it's true. Wouldn't be surprised to hear it wasn't at all.

They invented the modern day clipless pedal, of course they're not "any good"
