I've thought about those frames a lot myself, as my aluminum frame Scat is just a little rough on the roads we have here. A cheap replacement with all the benefits of cf is tempting, but if it came down to it I could get a Motobecane Immortal Spirit frame for about the same as the Ebay thing with shipping. At least I'd be dealing with a US company and a frame with two names behind it (Bike Island sells them).
Cost aside, I just don't think I'd trust a cheap no-name to hold up. Imagine descending at 50 mph, leaning through a sweeping corner and wondering if your frame was put together well...no thanks.
on edit: 1400 grams!? For just the bare frame? No way that's a back-door version of any name brand - wtf are they doing, just piling on the material to be on the safe side, because they don't know what they really need or how good the stuff they're using is?

Not likely as Pin uses Taiwanese mfg. who are a far, faaaar cry from the Chinese stuff. Also, Pin tightly watches their stuff besides, the Taiwanese aren't in the mood to do China any favors. Not to mention, they don't want to risk that Italian $$$$$ by back-dooring nickles.
My 2 cents; If it were me, I'd ebay a generic Taiwanese frame like Fuji, Scattante, Giant or maybe even a Neuvation from no-cal but not Chinese. These are PROVEN carbon manufacturers with solid process worthy of contracts from Trek, Spec, C'dale, etc.

I actually took the gamble and bought one of their forks ($80 Shipped), Its only 380gr and actually rides really nice. I saved almost a pound over my old carbon/aluminum fork. The shipping was quick and I didn't pay any duty either..... As for the frame who knows....

You are fine with riding one of the forks but not the frame? If the fork exploded the end result could be a disaster almost more so than the frame.

meh. I have a pair on one of my bikes, and no, they do not infallibly hold water bottles. Even short ones. I have had much better luck with the Black Ops carbon cages...haven't lost a bottle yet. more money, though.
