Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This is only for x1 or perhaps zero titanium (i don't know the spindle length for zero's)

I wear a size 45 road shoe and was wondering if you guys have the same issue?

my shoe is VERY close to the crank arm even with the cleat moved nearly as close as possible. if i move it to the edge of the limit of adjustment it's not centered perfectly under the shoe...

I've not ridden them yet but fear my ankle will be dangerously close to the crank arm and the shoe will rub quite often on the crank arm. heal clearance might be an issue too. i don't have the frameset yet these were going to be on so can't test.

I have used x2 as well and this was not an issue since the spindle is much longer.

I use X1 pedals with size 42.5 Sidi shoes. I keep the cleat in the middle of the shoe and haven't had rubbing issues with my Campy cranks.

i have size 45 shoes (Shimano R151 black, three velcro straps)) and Speedplay Zero pedals (standard spindles) and I use the narrow-most Q-Factor i.e. cleat closest to the cranks. No issues. Yes, my shoe is very close to the cranks but it does not touch it (except very ocassionally). Check the cleat installation? Do you wear some sort of extra-wide shoes perhaps?
