My vintage Coors Light Lemond with upgrades

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Would you ride it 100 miles?
Shouldn't this also really be in C&V?

Watch out, Coors Light is becoming popular among hipsters because PBR stopped being ironic when everyone started drinking it. That bikes gonna get stolen and turned into a fixie.

Nice. I believe those were built by Clark-Kent cycles in Denver on behalf of Lemond. Click HERE.

That particular bike has a nationwide fan club, anybody attempting such blasphemy will be hunted down mercilessly and made to pay.

It's even better in person.

Nick - thanks for the link. However, I believe this was a Billato built bike. It was imported by 10 speed drive imports and has the frame size stamped in the BB. When I researched it I found those two things to be characteristic of Billato. Apparently they built bikes for several different brands during that time frame. Here's a pic:

It's a cool paint job in that I believe it was the only year that Coors Light raced on Lemonds. Here's a pic of Alexi Grewal on one.

Greg Oravetz won the US Pro championship on one that year as well. They went to Serotta the following year. My dad bought it new in 1989/1990. It originally had Dura Ace 8 with downtube shifters on it. He rode it for a couple of months before getting a custom frame made. It literally hung in a garage for 18 years or so before I inherited it (Dad is still alive, just riding slower bikes now) and started riding it.

The Record group came from a good friend of mine and a hellacious cyclist. He's kind of a celebrity in the community in fact.
