You know you're got cycling sickness when......

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You know you're got cycling sickness when......

....you've been training, racing AND working real hard and your, dearest , finally gets you to sit down for a long over-needed heart to heart and you wake up to her crying because you weren't listening.

Now that took ALL of my negotiating skills to get out of that one.

Fail.

You're not NEARLY (or ever) out of that one.

Why didn't she and you go out for a long ride in the country to have that heart-to-heart?

She can't find pedals that work with her peg-leg.

After following me around for out of town one day and a six day tour races, she's sick of bikes....although she did come on a 6 day holiday tour with me, maybe a bit more of a balance in life might win her back?

My wife no longer rides (Injuries)

I keep a journal for my rides.

While looking ahead in my journal and planning rides I noticed handwriting on a certain page in April. It was not my writing.

Wife wrote - 23rd Anniversary in big, red, block letters - followed by No Riding!

Looking at where she wrote this message, it appears to block off the day beginning around 8:40 am - I think I'm good before that????
