+1. I hate to see the guy who started the thread win, but those shifters will poke his eyes out at sudden stops.

Considering that when I see that bike, I think of Pantani in the Giro and the Tour de France in 1998, I don't think it's hideous at all.

I just noticed that the rims on the OP's bike are pink.
Wow. You may have just won your own contest with that one...though I haven't seen many other original entries.

The handlebars are messed up. However, this bike appears to be a fixed-gear, which automatically places you safely (and I use that term loosely) within the confines of fixed gear culture. By those standards your bike is a rather tame and even, how shall we say, ho-hum specimen.
Besides, you don't even have pink rims. The least you could do is rock some pink deep vs, and have the frame powdercoated in some garish and clashing color.

Far be it from me to defend the bike's appearance, but Mavic Helium rims are actually an anodized red color. My camera, like my taste, is really bad though.

I think Fred started out referring to recreational cyclists who pretend to be pros with their attire etc. but are actually fat dentists. Then pcad came along and broadened the word's scope to apply to "everyone but pcad."
We've never looked back, except for just now when I looked back.

Thanks... Who's pcad and why did he/she redefine it? Is pcad an important person around here? (I mostly stay in the SFFG subforum, but headed on over here for the non-fixed advice/banter)

Has coddling tendencies.
The legend of Pcad in a nutshell: bad taste in cable routing, great dog, rides more miles in one year than most recreational cyclists ever will in 10, lives atop a mountain, knee and teeth issues.

sadly im not hardcore enough for the mad dog, its just carlo rossi(which might not be much of a step up).
Open (unscrew) bottle of Rossi. Drink a glass. Add grain alcohol so as to bring liquid back to original level. Mad Dog!
