Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Similarly, a lot of people on this forum seem to like the Nashbar Glide, which is also a copy of the Fizik Arione. The glide is on sale right now for $20. https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...2_175162_-1___

Is there anything wrong with your current saddle, aside from it not being red? Ignoring the fact that I think a red saddle would look horrible on that bike, if your current saddle is comfortable, I'd look for something similar to it in red. No saddle is a good deal if it makes your penis go numb or your but hurt like it's on fire.

yep, mine(trek basic saddle) is really good for me now, and I'm a freerider who isn't on the saddle for a long time. Since I cannot try those saddle by person, I wanted to get some suggestion. Thanks again

If you just want to change color, then go to your local chain auto parts place and buy some vinyl spray paint and change the color for like $5. People do it with car interiors all the time.

i've tried a whole bunch of saddles, and currently the most comfortable is my vintage forte pro sl, but no matter what saddle i use, half way through a 70 mi ride my perineum hurts.. and after yesterdays 70mi ride it's aching pretty bad this morning... how do i find a saddle that doesn't kill my perineum without buying saddle after saddle?

Well, if you're not in the saddle for a long time, no worries so just get what's most affordable. Selle Italia is the top of those choices (imo) and there's nothing wrong with Velo. Both are designs that have been around for a while.

Like others have said - if your current saddle is OK, don't switch it for another just based on look. You might open up a whole world of cycling discomfort that you didn't need.

You have way too much seatpost showing.
Colorwise I would go with a white or black saddle.

I agree that a red saddle would not be an aesthetic improvement.
I also agree that you could upgrade your pedals.
