Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

well I was the one who started the Lynskey vs Litespeed thread...after that I was convinced...so I have a Houseblend R330 w/ full SRAM Rival on the way...I will definitely post it stock once its built up and then any pics of upgrades...after the investigation that I conducted on Ti bikes, I chose Lynskey because they created Litespeed...I got into the market for a 2008 Litespeed Siena, but ultimately chose Lynskey because they are the originators of that design...and now that Litespeed is sold to a larger company, I really could appreciate the Lynskey customer service...honestly if you want a Ti bike, your choices are Lynskey, Litespeed, Seven, I.F, Moots, Merlin, and a few more options that I think BFers could help you out with...so just do your investigation on frames, and see what fits you as far as price and personal preference...hope that helped...

Something that really wasn't commented much upon in the original thread was delivery time of the custom Lynskey framesets. Hopefully the company has improved on this, as they lost many of their original dealers because of this. Doesn't matter much though, it seems that they have recruited another batch of dealers to sell their product.

if you want a lynskey built ti frame for under a grand, go to nashbar and look at the planet x pro road ti frame

there are a couple of us on the other ti thread that have these and we both LOVE them. both posted pics of the frames.

seriously, i love it. its so innocuous that a guy would really have to do a double take, to tell it apart from a shiny huffy from target, which i love.

I got one late last fall. It is an R230 with a Dura ace (sort of) build. I got it from a store in CA called Adrenelin bikes and it was a reasonable deal (about $3500 as I recall). I also rode a Moots from a local dealer and it was very nice although in the end quite a bit more (over $5000) for similar components.

The ride is great. I had been on a Trek 5200 CF frame for 7-8 years and this gives a very nice ride. A little springier - it smooths out the little bumps. I think this is due to the slight curve in the seat stays. Build quality is great and so far no issues whatsoever. I have only put about 200 miles on it though over the winter. I was looking for a Ti bike and not something that you see on every corner. I think this is it. It is a standard size frame which fits me fine.
