xxcycle.com experience??
Ok; I ordered a new pair of Sidi Genius 5 Mega road shoes from xxcycle(good price). After two weeks of waiting to be delivered they finally came. I open the box to find a pair of Sidi Mtb Dominators 5 Mega...........argh! I was previously riding in Mtb shoes but wanted to get something lighter. I contacted xxcycle(via email) to see what they can do because it doen't appear they have any Sidi Genius 5 left. I have not heard back from them. Anyone have experience with xxcycle service?
The shoes are comfortable and the right size...and I do like the option of being easier to walk in. Should I stick to my guns and if their out see if they'll send a pair of the Genius 5 pro mega instead(for same price)? Am I going to be stuck with them anway?

I once ordered a part for a zefal floor pump. Took a while to get, but it was the right one.

Ugh, xxcycle.
I did buy a crankset from them and after I received it, which took like 2-3 weeks, I waffled and asked them if I could return it. They didn't reply to my email and I accepted that that is the kind of business they are.
The only reason I bought from them was because they were the only ones who had precisely what I wanted.
As for the Sid Dominator 5's, I have some of those, as well as some road bike shoes and the Dominator 5's just don't compare to road bike shoes when it comes to stiffness though to be fair, I don't think any mtb shoe with a tiny mtb cleat can.
Get some road shoes. You'll love them every time you get out of saddle.

This seems crazy to me. Your contract was for a pair of Genuises, not dominators. Seems like that is all there is to it. So unless you want to keep the dominators, there is not even a question here.

I started getting tons of spam in French soon after ordering from them. Get ready to become familiar with alifax.fr and worldgsm.com.

Well the good thing is I paid through paypal which has buyer protection. I've initiated a dispute...maybe it will carry more weight to address with the realization that paypal will simply take the money back.
