Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

LandRiders

Watching a little TV before work and caught an informercial for this on TV.

https://www.landriderbikes.com/

If you can watch the commercial for it, I highly recommend it.

People complaining about having to shift, and not being able to see where they are going due to shifting
They even attempt to have some 'hardcore' mtn bikers in cheap-o jerseys and crazy looking neon gloves coasting down a dusty access road to make the bike seem 'downhill ready'. As well as slander saddles, replacing it with a 'large thick cushioned one, that is oh so comfy'

I wouldnt want to be the shop mechanic trying to tinker on that bike....

Is shifting reallythat difficult? I know not everyone on a bike is out there to be great at it but to claim that shifting is that complicated that you need it to be an automatic process is a bit of a stretch. Love the kick stand on the road bike.

The best part of the infomercial was when they were weaving through the construction cones!

Landrider bicycles are not Road bikes. If you wish to have a discussion on this type of bicycle, I suggest posting in the Family & Recreation or General Cycling section of the forum.
