Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My new ride!

Here is my new bike. I've had her for 1 week now and after 100 miles, I think I really like her. She does not have a name yet. But that will come in time. This is the carbon 3 model, full Ultegra SL with Dura Ace rear derailer. This ride is very plush compared to my aluminum bike.

Sharp looking bike, enjoy! Now the mandatory response of course is "flip it" because that's the BF way, but ride it as is and as your flexibility improves it will make sense and you can adjust as you see fit.

Don't ride her. Keep it in a room, only to look at it for pleasure. Ride the hell out of your aluminum bike

Don't ride either bike. Bikes are Fred.

Seriously, you've done a good thing, and I hope you ride grooves in the road. That said, your bike doesn't look like a she. A large sailing vessel? Now that's a she. Don't ask why.

To get a more aerodynamic position. But that would kind of defeat the whole purpose of getting a Synapse in the first place (no insult intended). If he wanted a more aggressive position, he should have gotten a System Six or Caad9.

Thanks lj. I am aware that it will increase reach and drop, and flatten the back. I meant it as a rhetorical question. People post pictures of their new bikes because they want to share with the community and then useless comments pour in. roadiejorge mentioned the response is the BF way. Your right it would defeat the purpose of the Synapse. I posted that if the bike fit why flip it. If someone flips the stem then they will have to reevaluate their fit.

I am sure it will be fliped, but just trying her out the way she came . I am sure it is a she because I looked under the seat before I bought her. As stated I also only ride females. Thanks for all the positive input.

Your friends ever tease you for no good reason? It's the human way.
As the joker would say... "why so serious"?

Nice looking bike, btw. Congrats.
