My buddy, who has more money than sense, has one and loves it. He also rides a Madone 6.5. He refers to the Prince as "a Ferrari". He got some bling bling carbon wheels and is a happy camper. Too rich for my tastes as I almost died spending $4500 a few weeks ago on my new Lemond Tete de Course.

If you're looking for a huge difference you'll probably be disappointed. In general you reach a point where the tiny improvements come at a huge price.

I can't find anyone in bay area that carry Pinarallo's - I did see that CC sells them and has them as part of their demo program but was really hoping that in this economy there would be at least a little discount. CC's prices appear to be FULL MSRP across the board. That is the only thing that has stopped me from buying from them in the past.
Anyone recommend dealers that can put together a deal a bit south of msrp?
kimconyc - thanks for the links I'll check them out.

Speedplay is the most common sense road people, IMO. Double side entry no looking down and no hooking the toe in first just stomp and go. Even people who have never used a clipless peddle will find Speedplay easy to deal with, unless they forget to clip out when the come to a stop.

To me, it's the best bike on the planet. I have four other bikes that are collecting dust in the garage, as I only want to ride the Prince. It totally lives up to the hype and reviews I read before I built it. I ride it with the Boras every time, and as frequently as I can (200 mi/week).

Anyone know what is the 'bar' the Garmen 705 is mounted to? Looks like you would actually be able to read the unit with that mount.
If I take the plunge I'll probably go with a standard set (read under 1K) set of wheels. I love the look of the 3.8K boras but would want to ride various 3K+ wheels before making a decision.

Note: I've never ordered from him, so I have no opinion of the seller or the quality of the mount. He is a BF'er though if you have questions/issues.

Here are the bars on the distributors web site. They come in multiple colors. Very cool.

That bike was fine, but here is an even more exquisite bike for $15,900. It is in the upper left. Very cool color scheme. I would buy that in a heart beat except it is half the price of our first house which we purchased in 1977.

Nice - they are very cool - also colors to match.
Like the 15K bike - in fact that's the color I'd/may/looking to buy.

Terrain, where do you live? The 15k bike's color scheme is only available with the Shimano Di2 in the US apparently. That red and white scheme is beautiful.

I have an F4:13 which is the same geometry as the Prince, just a lower grade carbon. Its a FANTASTIC bike. Ive owned a lot of bikes and my Pinarello is the best of them all by far from a riding standpoint. My only complaint is that Pinarello's finish kind of sucks. Im having to paint warranty my F4:13 now.
BTW, if you're looking at a Prince in a size 53, I know where one can be had on a deal. PM me.

Well I was ready to pull the trigger (Was looking at a $9,800 build - but willing to go up to 12 to get the wheels I want etc...) and decided I should try to check out a 09 Prince in person.
Note - in the past I have used this course of action and most often being able to see/ride the bike in person accelerates my want/need to pull the trigger.
I had the opportunity for a short ride on an 09 and perhaps I was thinking that I would feel something or have a gut feeling about the bike but that did not happen. It could be due to various reasons but while I thought the bike was fine - it did not blow me away. My current ride is an 07 Soloist so perhaps there is not enough of a difference or I just do not have the miles under my belt to appreciate the nuances of the Prince. I love the ascetics when combined with a few of the 09 color choices but now I'm not as interested.
