Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks ... I posted about the ride here:

https://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycling/540720-ride-my-father.html

I'm moving away and he and I don't have much time left to ride together ... so I think it's great that we have been able to ride together fairly frequently this spring. He's the one who got me into cycling in the first place.

I never get tired of this. It's on the start of just about every training ride.

Best pics I could get- due to the 2nd pic.

May have been foggy but boy was it hot.

Edit- but found a pic of what the 2nd should have shown as the summit.

she's not into girls, she's a very good friend—not my girlfriend—and she's beautiful...and she'll kick your ass on the bike.

Please stick to the topic. The subject is "Pics of your bike with mountain backgrounds". If you want to post photos like you have in your two most recent posts here, delete them from here and start your own thread. They don't belong in this thread.

I really don't see the need to hijack a nice thread like this with the stuff you've been posting. It's disappointing. This is why good threads get shut down.

I'm not one of the regular Road Cycling moderators, but as Machka has reminded all of us, the subject of the thread is "Pics of YOUR bike with mountain backgrounds".

Please, try to stay on topic?
