Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New Soul wheels

Soul bikes website has just been updated for 2009-2010.

I do not own any Soul products but figured I would post to say WOW to these...

S4.0 in white, 1740g

C4.0 carbon clincher, 1390g

Need to save up for the C4.0

Very nice looking wheels and I hear good things about them here, might consider a pair for a build.

I'm debating between Soul and Williams. The S4.0 would be the perfect training wheelset, stiff/durable + aero. C5.0 carbon tubular would also be a fantastic race wheel... unfortunately no discernible crash replacement policy like with Williams. Understandable since they're on the other side of the world.

Wow, I'm going to have to Photoshop the new 4.0 in white onto a white CAAD9-5 pic to see what they look like...could be awesome! Sean may have just sold me

Those white wheels are beautiful, but I can't think they would EVER be that color again after your 1st ride.

i've got white spokes on my Race-X-Lites and they don't stay white very long.

but they're easy enough to clean, if I was so inclined.

He finally updated the site huh? I had heard about the C4.0 though he was called them S4.0c at the time. Time to pop over and see what else has changed.

great wheels and sean is a great person to deal with. have s4.0 wheelset, c5.2 clinchers and i'm thinking hard about c40 clinchers for everyday wheelset, and you can't beat the shipped price

I haven't put them in the stand yet but, having raced them a couple times now, I haven't noticed anything off (i.e. no visible out-of-trueness, no brake rub, etc.)

I was planning on buying these when they first came out but i've since become reluctant as i continue to battle the rear wheel (nuevation) that i own. They seem like a stellar deal, which is partly why i'm beginning to steer away from them. (among desires for other things)

i believe they had a limited run of machined braking surfaces that were then anodized. Not sure if you can still get them.
