Dura Ace C-3 pads.
The new Dura Ace 7900 group comes with a new pad compound that is supposed to be 100% better in the rain and I think 50% better in the dry. What would some of you that have been using them have to say about them?

The 7900 group went on my new bike - replaced an Ultegra-equipped bike. I feel that the brakes are MUCH better.
Both bikes use aluminum rims.

in velo news....they did a brake test on about 10 sets. 7900 came in second...highly praised, but 7800 came in first, only downfall being a bit heavier...all those lightweight breaks, like knc, got horrible ratings.

The new pad compound seems softer than the 7800 compound. The 7900 pads pick up debris more readily than the 7800 pads so you have to dig it out more frequently. They have awesome performance, so I have not swapped them out. I'll live with the need to clean the pads more frequently in order to get the performance. For now.

We're talking about brake pads, not calipers.
