anybody know any good rides in pittsburgh?
hello,
i'm in pittsburgh and have my bike and a car. anybody have a parking lot or location where i can park my car and go on a nice ride tomorrow? i've only got about 1.5 hours for a ride, if that matters at all. i'm currently staying in shadyside, by carnegie mellon university
thanks!
i heard that there's a bike path along one of the rivers. is there a parking lot where i can keep my car that will allow me easy access to that path?

Not sure about rides but you gotta try the "atomic" wings at the Quaker Steak and Lube.

You can park on the Southside near the REI.

Sorry, just google map REI Pittsburgh. Helps if you have a GPS, driving in teh 'Burgh is a bit tricky.

you can literally take 10 steps out the REI door and get on the path. not sure how far the tail goes. they were supposed to extend and connect it, but when i was last there 3 years ago, it was limited to only maybe 4 miles, with plans to link it up to another path.
there are parking garages and meters by REI. you can park more in the side streets for free/longer parking, or at the UPMC complex during the weekends and noone will complain

Has coddling tendencies.
Mapmyride.com and do a search on Pittsburgh. Some local rides will surely pop up.
