Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bonktown.. Bought it all.

I have now purchased everything even remotely useful on Bonktown.
I have even bought things for my wife.
I am skipping sleeveless jerseys and pointless locks. I am also skipping tri-bikes and other frames that don't fit, as well as all L, XL, 2X and 3X size anythings.
I now await something I can use, even if i don't need it, to appear.

Just thought you should know.

Women's bike shorts? Lol, it seems they've been recycling through the same items for months now, sigh.

When chainlove first came out, it was amazing whenever something "cool" would show up at an awesome price. Now lately on bonktown I haven't seen anything worth ordering.

Every time something nice comes up I jump to the site to find they are only selling XS or S and XXL sizes... I'm thinking about removing the widgets since they are just distracting now.

I'm so not patient enough to shop that way. If I want/need it, I shop for it and buy it.

Seems like every time I get a notice - I goto the website and instead of selling the 'cool' thing they are pushing some fanny cream.

Can you say "bait and switch?" I got so frustrated with these sites I don't even look at them anymore. I know there are probably some good items that pop up randomly but life is too short to waste time watching for them. So I am with Dr. Pete on this one.

I too agree with Pete. If I want something, I look around for what I want and then then I buy it. These discount websites can save some bucks but they can also be very annoying.

The thing I'm eventually hoping to see on Bonktown that I know will never happen is the Giordana Silverline jersey. The female version pops up on there a couple times a week, so I'm hoping for the best....not gonna happen though!

the one time I saw something I felt like spending money on, I got distracted and missed it. Although I got a nice jersey from them. OTOH, it's a XL and a tiny bit too large for me.

Picked up a Fulcrum 5 wheelset the other day, and a crankset for a future project (no, not the Zipp cranks that pop up on a regular basis) a few hours later, but it's been pretty dry lately. It'll probably pick up again at the end of the season.

There will always be items that don't sell well, insuring that Bonktown will have items to offer for sale...
