Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

i don't know about a road tire, but mountain bike tires you use 2 scoops. i would imagine that you might use 1 scoop considering for a much thinner tire.

i'm not sure i would be excited about having a tubeless tire on the road IMO. i just think what could have happened on my vacation when i ran over glass at 45 MPH. at the bottom my tube was starting to protrude from the gash in the tire. Yumm, guard rail.

I'm interested in going tubeless with one of my sets of wheels. Anyone make the switch with using stan's road tubeless system?

I don't see the harm in using it. It'll increase weight slightly but it seems pretty minimal when it comes to support with flats.

Been doing this for the last two seasons. As far as I can tell I have only had one flat. Did not need to change tires as it sealed itself with about 40 psi left, so filled the tire once I noticed and rode it another 1000 miles until cords were showing before I had to replace it. I am a firm believer in Stans for tubulars.

I use a metal needle meat juice infuser syringe with the pointed tip cut off to fit into the valve stem without damaging the tube. Just one full syringe of Stan's lasts for months in the tubular. Go for it.
