What the heck kind of race is this

Indiana U inter mural, closed "track" is a cinder flat 1/4 mile running track that they race single speed coaster brake bikes (all the same) on for 50 miles. It was on Direct TV HD net last Sat and had at least 10 crashes and broken collar bones. Has several riders per team with one on the track and rider changes required.
Rock Racing was mentioned, speed seemed in the 20+ mph range on average.

It's a collegiate race, that was no rock racing as far as I know, they were wearing RR shorts and maybe they race for RR outside of this but I believe only Indiana students can race this race.

Sorry: the commentator stated that Rock Racing was helping with training advice for the riders. They also you can only join a team at Cat 4 or lower and could not progress past a Cat 3 and still be in the race.
