Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Road trip music advice

We are going down to for the Santa Fe Century this weekend, leaving in about an hour. I want to stop by the music store on my way home to pick up a CD or two for the 6 hour drive. If I was to buy only one CD from each of Radio Head and Death Cab for Cutie, which ones should I buy?

Okay, just checked him out on Pandora, I like it, thanks! Reminds me of Billy Bragg.

+1. Death cab is OK, but not the best thing on the road.

Other things I like are the "I Am Sam" soundtrack, Bright Eyes' Cassadaga, Sufjan Stevens' Illinoise, the Alison Krauss/Robert Plant album, and just about any live Grateful Dead.

I drive about 300 miles per week, and these have stuck in the changer for months at a time.

Death Cab- Translanticism or Plans

My friends prefer the former but I like Plans better myself. Their new album is garbage though.
