Wheel build suggestions
So yesterday my friend who is moving sold me a Zipp 303 tubular hoop for $50, it was an offer I couldn't pass up, but now I am stuck with some questions.
1. I weigh 180, I plan on dropping about 10 lbs at least, am I going to be too heavy for a wheel like this?
2. Should I build this for a front or rear wheel?
3. Any hub suggestions? I was thinking of a DT Swiss 190 or 240, maybe a Chris King?

That rim should be fine for 180lb, but how many spokes is it drilled for? DT, King, White Industries. All would make a sweet wheel. Since it's not too deep, if it's your only aero rim, I'd make it the front wheel. I might warn you, though, that if this is going to be a daily use wheel and your other wheel is a clincher, you're going to hate carrying a spare tube AND a spare tire on rides. You should use this as an excuse to buy a matching rim and build a nice race set.

FYI I have a 303 rim I'm not using if you're interested.

White industries. You need the widest flanges possible to build a solid wheel with that rim. Your a bit big for it so if you want it to last that should be your first priority.

If you're on a budget, you can get cheaper hubs (like Novatec) for a slightly heavier wheel, but I'd feel guilty putting such nice rims on crappy hubs.

yeah, like I said, Im not planning on using them for regular riding and Im not racing until next season so I have a little while to try and build them right, I wouldnt feel right doing that either. I just hope that those grnatss or a student loan come through so I can do a lot of upgrading, including the matching rear wheel.
