ciocc blade frame is it worth it?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

there is a valuation sub-forum of the Classic and Vintage forum where this question belongs. I would think that most Ciocc frames are worth 70 euro, but I couldn't tell you about this particular frame.

Hard to say, as I don't read Polish. If the text doesn't say "I crashed this into a tree after being run over by a car", then it might be worth it.

It's a road frame. The provenance is sketchy. I'd want to see it / inspect it.

Damn, look at the welds on that thing. It's as good as a Cannondale. For 90 USD, I'd buy it.

Honestly those welds could be ground down and painted over, I wouldn't say from that size photo that they are anything amazing. To the point though, it can be used as a road frame, and if it is in good condition might be reasonable. Ciocc used to be hand built lugged steel, although hasn't been for some time, and as a result I know nothing of the quality of their bikes these days.

At 70 euros, how can you go wrong?

It doesn't come with a fork, though, does it?

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

It's likely a Ciocc Saphir, from what I can find. It was about a $925 frame when new. It's a 7005 Aluminum frame, by the way, from the imageshack pics.

Whichever model it is, 70 euros is an excellent deal.
